TwoSet Violin

TwoSet Violin – founded in 2014 by Australian duo Brett Yang and Eddy Chen – first went viral with their funny and sometimes painfully accurate videos depicting life as a classical musician. With over 2,000,000 followers and over 300 million views across social media, TwoSet inspires musicians worldwide with humor and a relatable ‘imperfectness.’  They have been featured on international media such as China TimesABC News, The Violin Channel, Classic FM, SONY Classical Australia, WQXR, Yahoo, and The Strad. Their work has led to collaborations with other high profile artists such as Lang Lang, Hilary Hahn, Ray Chen, Janine Jansen, James Ehnes, Maxim Vengerov, and Anne Akiko Meyers.

At the end of 2016, the duo gave up their spots in the Sydney and Queensland Symphony Orchestras and began hosting live classical comedy performances, including a sold-out debut at the Sydney Opera House. Their one-of-a-kind show offers a unique and interactive experience, creatively integrating humour with actual recital—all while upholding the integrity of classical music. Unlike the typical classical concert, TwoSet Live attracts a diverse crowd, including young fans as well as those who have never been to a classical concert before.

TwoSet wrapped up their 2017 Kickstarter campaign to become the first ever crowdfunded classical world tour. The two committed to nonstop busking and sleeping on the streets of Sydney until they hit their goal of $50,000—which they achieved in just 5 days. Their World Tour in 2017 and 2018 has hit the ground running with sold-out concerts in cities such as New York, Los Angeles, London, Hong Kong, Singapore, Toronto, Montréal, Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco, Chicago, Boston, Berlin, Munich, Warsaw, Vienna, Oslo, and Helsinki. Their dream is to bring classical music to more people and to continue to inspire the next generation.
